JAMIE GARDNER, EXECUTIVE ADVISOR
Jamie is a social entrepreneur whose passion and experience are deep rooted in bringing private- and public-sector leaders together to bridge today’s systemic societal divides. She turns ideas into action and achieves results by fostering high performing leaders, aligning diverse stakeholders through expert facilitation, and advising organizations on how to innovate within and across sectors to solve complex problems.
With broad yet deep experience serving corporations, nonprofits and government entities, Jamie:
facilitates dynamic cross-sector collaborations and innovation labs created to achieve positive social outcomes,
designs strategies and programs to launch social impact initiatives, and
coaches executives to enhance their performance, with an emphasis on emotional intelligence through mindfulness and neuroscience.
Jamie’s clients have included Salesforce, ServiceMaster, Cisco, Capital One, Deloitte LLC, Gap Inc., Target, the U.S. Senate Subcommittee for Children and Families, the State of Nebraska, Children’s Defense Fund, Got Your 6, and Net Impact.
Previously, as the Vice President and “Chief Evangelist” for Taproot Foundation, Jamie established and directed the Pro Bono Action Tank’s mission to expand the pro bono ethic beyond the legal profession. Through this effort, she founded a consulting service and a resource center to set national quality standards and best practices for pro bono service, ultimately influencing Fortune 500 companies to accept pro bono service as a standing practice.
Prior to that, Jamie was a consultant at IBM and J.D. Edwards, where she led business development opportunities and the implementation of complex business and technology systems across a range of industries.
Jamie is a Social Impact Advisor for Start Within and she proudly serves as a Board member (formerly Board President) at FUSE Corps and Team4Tech. She also is an advisor to several local and national nonprofits, including San Francisco CASA. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from Georgetown University, and undergraduate degrees in finance and marketing from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Jamie lives in the Bay Area with her husband and twin sons.
